It was a fairly recent one, for 2008. I ordered a couple of similar ones a few weeks ago and they arrived promptly but not on the click of the mouse!

It appears to be a property a century ago. If you do a newspaper search for 271 Canongate (Edinburgh) you'll see there are a couple of mentions for this address in 1927 and 1928. I thought you might be onto something with this but unfortunately not. Surprisingly there are only two deaths for a Charles Wilson around the right age in the whole of Scotland in 1950 and neither are the right man.
