We welcome any query on Who When Where. If you have previously posted it on another forum (including the old WDYTYA forum), please state this in your opening post - this will save people redoing the research which has been done before: they can look at it and possibly go further with it.

Howlette
I am back again with a query about Richard Howlette, who was a Rector at Bedworth All Saints church around 1773. I think he might have been a curate prior to that posting, at Bulkington St James. If anyone has anything to add on this man I would really appreciate it. I just need to fill in the gaps a...

Re: 1921 census
Another error has cropped up with this census and a visitor to the household has an incorrect second Christian name. He is listed as William Toskley Howkins and the name should be Stockley. He was an engineer, but no employer, so no idea why he was there. I am really interested to hear if anyone has...

1921 census
I have a copy of an entry which states that it was recorded in Lincoln Street, Bulkington, Warwickshire. To my knowledge there has never been a street of that name in this village and it should read Church Street and I am assuming it is an enumerator's error. Has anyone else found anomalies in the 1...

Howlette/Howlett
I am helping someone with their Warwickshire family tree and have the name Howlette on it as a male Christian name. I assume it would be a maiden surname originally, but this has not flagged up for me. The first is William Howlette Wilson b. 1824 whose father was William Wilson, but his mother's mai...

Re: House name
Gosh Jimbo50 that's a surprise, maybe someone was making a joke between whoever it was sent to, though I suspect the recipient would have been my Mum, though I am not sure that Lord of the Rings would have been her kind of reading. Thank you for this.

Re: House name
Thank you for responding. I can't upload it at the moment I am sorry. I did put the name into Google in case it was a place, but it obviously is a property as my aunt is in the garden and it shows a house over a hedge. I can't give any more clues and just hoped that the name would ring a bell with s...

Re: Help with a brick wall
As you have not had any response to your message I thought I would give you my suggestions, although you may have done them.
Have you looked for a marriage for Jane, the birth of her son, or her death? There would be clues I am sure that you could follow up. Let us know how you get on please.

House name
I have a photo of an aunt taken August 1927 at a place/house called Eroberhill, at least that is what the spelling looks like. Is there anyone out there who can identify this please?
