Hello. Who's there ?
I thought I was alone in this building.
We welcome any query on Who When Where. If you have previously posted it on another forum (including the old WDYTYA forum), please state this in your opening post - this will save people redoing the research which has been done before: they can look at it and possibly go further with it.

Re: Saint George's Workhouse (Mint Street)
Mick. Do you know if anybody has indexed his notebooks ? I remember reading them years ago from a pdf download.
Not only the workhouses and parish assistance case descriptions, but the businesses as well..employees..where what they did.
It's a goldmine I'd forgotten.

Re: Long Lost Family tv programme on lost identities 14.8.2023
Do we know if the same was for the homes in England and Wales. I recall a Guardian Article from 6 years ago which reported; The head of the Catholic church in England and Wales has apologised for its part in the” hurt” caused to young unmarried women who say they were felt pressured into handing ove...

Re: Catholic baptism
Sorry to raise this again. The church doesn't appear to have been renumbered, but just behind it in the same grounds is another building by the same builder, Robert Paterson and Son, 1877-8. This now has the address 2 Cranston Street which was a hostel. H.E.S. has the building's C listing records , ...

Re: Help with a brick wall
1935, Seward Geoffrey Solman is at Flat 3 26 Campden Hill Gardens, so is Jane.
1933 - 1937 Jane is not with her parents.
Are you able to put a rough date as to when Jane's son visited your great uncle ?
