We welcome any query on Who When Where. If you have previously posted it on another forum (including the old WDYTYA forum), please state this in your opening post - this will save people redoing the research which has been done before: they can look at it and possibly go further with it.

Re: DNA matches

Hardwork, We’ll have to agree to disagree on this. I think these people without a tree are expecting others to do the work for them. I’ll only contact a DNA match if they have a tree. Why should I waste my time writing to people who can’t be bothered to trust other genealogists, and who most probabl...

Re: Errors in trees on subscription sites

Re: JFK

21 October 1966, driving on M1 on way to Stone, Staffordshire, when I heard news of the Aberfan Disaster, truly tragic. A couple of years ago we visited the cemetery where the children are buried, truly moving experience, to see so many graves laid out as a memorial😢

Re: Find my past

The three bars icon in the top right, aka the hamburger icon, only appears when your FMP screen is below a certain width. (Don't ask me whether that's a pixel count or something more complex - I dunno). Normally with a full-width FMP home screen, I see a down-pointing arrow next to "Search&quo...

That's the risk one takes when transcribing columns independently. One error and they all become mis-aligned. :D
