Some PDF orders have been taking about 4 weeks to come through it seems, as far as I know "modern" paper certificates are being sent though slower than normal but historic ones are PDF only, but I would not swear to that.

FindMyPast have Ambras Heckling (of Barelstone) marrying Sarah Jackson (of Barelstone) on 12 October 1769 (register image available on their site) but even so I cannot find his baptism locally.

Yes there are many additional notes and observations in the early parish registers including mentions of the weather, storms and frosts, etc.
There are also mentions of marriages where the persons spouse has been transported and the "abandoned" wished to marry another
