On top of this, they have added three more children with the same surname so giving him 9 children which is ridiculous. What do you think ridiculous, adding the 3 extra children or the thought of someone having 9 children? I have plenty of families with 12 or more children, so not ridiculous to say...

21 October 1966, driving on M1 on way to Stone, Staffordshire, when I heard news of the Aberfan Disaster, truly tragic. A couple of years ago we visited the cemetery where the children are buried, truly moving experience, to see so many graves laid out as a memorial😢

That's the risk one takes when transcribing columns independently. One error and they all become mis-aligned. :D

I just found a 16 year old whose occupation was a Milliner, but then says her employer was a Fish Merchant!!!

One of mine had a note to say her son was a drunkard, and a thoroughly loathsome man. Can’t get much clearer than that, he certainly didn’t pull his punches :lol:

Given that the 1921 census lists his birthplace as "Poplar" consider there may have been some confusion. After all, his parents lived at Poplar Cottages in Isleworth, as per the 1901 census. Maybe John Lee had the name "Poplar" on the brain when the 1921 census was done? Did you...

I know that area well, my parents etc came from Limehouse, and some of them also came from Ireland :D
