Would love to Identify these people!

Post by Emmsy81 »

I know this is a long shot, but we found these two photos within my Nanas photo collection!, the Baby could possibly be her but we really wouldn't know, she was born 27/01/1930, None of the family recognise the People in the photos and all Descendants from my Nana's side including her good self have now passed away.

My Nana: Jean Morse
Her Mother: Lilian Hewitt
Her Father: Albert Edward Morse

Hi Emmsy81,

If the back on the baby picture is the same "Gale's Studios, branches in every town", this would date the picture from approx. end of WW1 to 1928. Colonel Bertram Gale founded the studios just after WW1 (they can trace their origins back to about 1910) and it was then taken over by Jerome Studios by 1928, with a few as late as 1930.

So this may date the baby picture to those 10-12 years or so.

Hope its of some use.

Cheers

Does the couple back give date as 11 Mar 1927? Or is that my imagination?

It would probably help to have a bit more info about the family you think they may be part of.-

If you think this could be your great great grand parents what are their names and dates and what area of the country are we talking about?

There's always the chance that someone has similar photos and once they know the names can make a link.

Hi Phsvm,

Again I think I may need to delve deeper, as I have only just received my Great Grandparents from my Nanas sides Marriage Certificate in order me to dig a little deeper on that side.
Hopefully i'll have more info soon.

Thanks
Emma
