Release of Government records

Post by Thunder »

Today has seen the release of some Government records (I say some) at TNA and they are making 200 available online at the same time that researchers can't use the record copying service. There is one interesting file (PREM 19/6196: 1993-1995: PRIME MINISTER: Prime Minister's meeting with various MPs to discuss the Channel Islands deportees) on those British people who were forced by the Nazis to leave the Channel Islands and were sent to camps like Biberach in Germany, but some files like on the Two Minutes Silence in November on Remembrance Day and Remembrance Day cannot be found by searching the catalogue because it has a bland description or maybe they don't want us to find them!.
