Does anyone know of sites to trace Italian ancestors? A friend’s father was Italian and she would like to explore his family. Many thanks for any suggestions.

I used this link on Roots Chat . The Guy who runs it is Steve. Unfortunately my query fell within Lockdown and he couldn't help me at the time, and I haven't returned siince, but I see he is active again.

I got in touch with him about 4 years ago - a friend’s father had died and was buried in Italy and they needed a death certificate to apply for military records. He was good enough to obtain one and sent it to me

I follow this person on Twitter - DiAnn Iamarino - @famtreeadvice - and she has thousands of Italian ancestors and offers some really good advice on Italian records.
