Unfortunately, these records have not been digitised. So they need to be viewed at TNA at Kew.
There's one WO 22 record for a James Hunt, 7th Foot, indexed on findmypast
And three records or so for a Jas/James Hunt, 7th Foot in WO 23

I don't know why TNA says WO 23 records have not been digitised.
1-9 Foot. The dates of service are 1820-1854

WO 23 registers I have saved previously from fmp have given the "Rate" in first column. In fact their format and appearance has been similar to the WO 120 record on ancestry.
If any of the entries are for the right James, could they confirm his rate of pay?
