Finally some good news on the records front!!
For everyone who has been waiting months maybe cancelling and re ordering may work.
Just a thought.
We welcome any query on Who When Where. If you have previously posted it on another forum (including the old WDYTYA forum), please state this in your opening post - this will save people redoing the research which has been done before: they can look at it and possibly go further with it.

This week I had an email from the FHS of Cheshire to say that online ordering for army records is now active via the gov.uk website - Sorry, I can’t post the link here.
It’s not going to get you records any quicker I suspect but it’s a start. My wife ordered her father’s records in February 2021 by post, we’ve not heard anything and the cheque hasn’t been presented so will now be out of date. I think we will start again soon, although I assume that it involves paying up front…..
