It is not actually true I believe to say "How to find name change records in the UK" when it doesn't include Scotland, which alas is still in the UK.

Actually, the author does mention name changes appearing in the "Edinburgh Gazette (from 1699)...are available for free on the Gazette's website".
So the author does include Scotland, more or less.
