Who When Where

Does anyone know where to find where someone is buried in the Fulham Cemetery, Sheene. I don't know if I am being exceptionally dim but I can't see where you might find a particular plot. The event took place in 1937 and as it seems to be an exceptionally big place I would like to know where to look. I don't suppose it will have a headstone as I never seem to have muck luck with those.

According to the Hammersmith & Fulham Borough Council website: "If the burial took place before 2002 it is unlikely the record will be on our computer system. To search for a grave before this period please call the Cemetery Office, or email with the date of death and name of the person".

TIP: Ask the Cemetery Office to confirm whether the grave is public or private. If it’s private, ask them to confirm if a headstone has been placed. Public graves which have several unrelated people in them don’t have headstones.

Most cemeteries should keep a record, have you looked on the 'Find a grave' website? at https://www.findagrave.com/

Of course not all burials have a headstone.

Many thanks for all suggestions. In the end I decided to go there and check it out. There is an office there with a helpful lady in it. I would not have known the exact spot if there had not been a headstone!!! The plot was behind the office so very close to where I had ended up. It is a very large cemetery and a lot of the stones are difficult to read. I would have probably passed this one by. The most helpful cemetery I have been to is Derby where the lady in the office knew if there was a headstone and gave me the names of the surrounding graves when there wasn't so that you knew exactly where the person was buried.
